Who we are

The Touro Pre-Professional and Health Sciences Society is a student run organization. Our goal is is to provide an out of class environment where students, interested in pursuing a career in Healthcare and Medicine, can come to share their excitement and enthusiasm for the future of this and related fields.

We want to foster a network of people interested in Health Sciences whether it be Pre-Medical, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Physician’s Assistant, Dental, Veterinary Medicine, or any other science based interests.

What we do

We hold events with informative, interesting speakers to help students make more informed decisions about their areas of future studies as well as other topics of interest. In addition, the Science Society provides a network for like minded students to encourage and converse with each other as well as with alumni in graduate programs.

Through our events, students will have the chance to learn from each other’s experiences and various experts in the medical field and leave with an increased awareness of current events in Healthcare. Our society also organizes trips to D.O, Medical, Pharmacy and Dentistry schools, Volunteering programs, special events, panels covering topics of interest, and serves as a resource for students seeking a career in medicine.

By encouraging the physicians and other health-care professionals of tomorrow to work together today, the Touro Pre-professional and Health Sciences Society does its part to build a spirit of cooperation - something that is becoming ever more necessary in the medical profession.

Executive Officers

Officers are chosen by an open nomination process, then by a general vote. Voting is held at the beginning of the academic year. Only current members in good standing may participate in the election process.
